Ingredients:
Bottom layer ingredients
- 1 3/4 cups of flour
- 1/2 cup of white sugar
- 3/4 cup of butter (I used olive oil butter and avocado butter on separate occasions to make this dairy free)
Top layer ingredients
- 4 Eggs
- 1 1/2 cups of corn syrup (dark or light works)
- 2/3 cups of brown sugar
- 1/3 cup of flour
- Splash of vanilla abstract
- Dash of salt
- 2 cups of pecans
Instructions:

- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Ferin height
- Take a 9X13 baking dish and line with parchment paper and lightly grease with cooking spray or oil
- Mix together 1 3/4 cup of flour and white sugar with 3/4 cups of cold butter
- mix the above for about 3 minutes or so until it looks coursed
- Take your mixture and press to your baking dish and cook for about 20 minutes
Top layer preparation
- While the above is baking; mix together flour, brown sugar, corn syrup and eggs well
- Then add vanilla, salt and pecans
- Let sit until the bottom layer is done baking
- Once you remove the bottom layer from the oven and everything is mixed together add into the baking dish and let it cook for about 30-40 minutes
- After baking put immediately in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours or over night
- You can cut after it is refrigerated
